Vincent Goria came from Lyon, France, with his family in August 2008 and landed in the U.S. near Boston, Massachusetts.
Vincent founded CL Medical France in April 2002; the company is manufacturing and distributing surgical implants. After gaining a position of market leader in France, the company wanted to expand internationally, the United States market came as an evidence.
CL Medical Inc was created in March 2007. Vincent and his wife, Caroline, decided to manage the American entity from United States rather than from France.
Furthermore, they thought it could be a very interesting adventure for their 3 children as well. More than just learning another language, they could open their minds to a different country and a multi-cultural environment.
Since the creation of the company, the business encountered a great success. Not only its innovative devices were patented but the company was recently recognized of national interest by the United States. This recognition permitted the family to obtain their green cards last year.

Arnaud and Cécile
Arnaud and Cécile are the founders of Macaron Café.
In 1997, during a trip to New York, Arnaud and Cécile had made the promise that one day they would try their luck and move in this amazing melting pot. They arrived in New York with their children in 2007 with the objective of marketing Cécile’s unique macaron recipe that she had elaborated over the years for her husband’s restaurants.
Since then, Arnaud and Cécile have lived the American Dream: they are now running 4 MacarOn Cafes in Manhattan which daily offer French baguette sandwiches, organic coffee and of course macarons! Their cafés are immensely successful and have been mentioned several times in the New York press, including the Wall Street Journal and the New York Post. Their success doesn’t stop there: with the intention of pleasing even more people, their macarons can be found in several food stores, such as Fairway and Fresh Direct!
When they arrived in New York in 2007, it seemed logical for them to settle in the Lower East Side, historic district where the first immigrants arrived in the beginning of the 19th century.
Since then they fell in love with this neighborhood and recommend the following places:
- Experience a trip back in time by visiting the Tenement Museum
- Fat Radish, for a creative and tasty “new cuisine”
- Let yourself be tempted by a drink or a diner on Hotel Chantelle’s beautiful rooftop
Columbus is also proud to have supported the Francofolies in NYC and handled all artists’ visa applications:
